Internet Search Tips
Getting back to those 500,000 plus hits that you get in an average Google search, there are a few simple ways to reduce that number. By doing so you can save time and increase the quality of your results. Next time you do a Google, AltaVista, or Yahoo search, think about these simple search tricks.
1. Use quotation marks (“”) to surround an exact phrase. That will help filter out unrelated hits.
2. Use Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) to refine your searches.
3. Consult the advanced search sections or the help section of your favorite search engine.
